i'm very angry about the christmas gift.
so i bought a box of ferrero rocher, a nail polish and a green hair slip for my F3. all is different in price range, so to speak, $6.20, $2.50 and $1.20 respectively. it was supposed to be fun, thrilling as ppl drew numbers and take gifts and see who gets the big one. i wanted to let them draw out one and see who lucky get the ferrero larh.
and who lucky get green hair clip.

so today me, junhao, jac, joc, wanqin, xinyi n eric went to orchard to celebrate dear junhao's birthday. we ate at a cafe in cineleisure, 2nd level. nice environment! when i look at it the first glance it looked ordinary. but when we went in it was gorgeous. each "hub" even has its own tv and it was playing soccer. junhao was damn happy larh. initially i thought friends cafe was still there and recommended the place. looks like it was a happy accident.
the cake was a bit ruined before i could take a photo. nice? i "designed" it. i love the flower it's made of creamy too. but everyone complained it was too creamy. bah.

i really really wanted to watch borat : cultural learnings of america for make benefit glorious nation of kazakhstan. i'm sick of typing the movie title 3 times! rah. but it's r21 and we watched a night at the museum anyway. my mind was racing with thoughts of borat and sleep and neckache (we were at the front row) so i didn't really enjoyed the movie. night at the museum was quite like a nightmare. it has traces of ancient egypt in it so i was very happy.

it's nearly xmas...
a few years ago i remembered i was in indonesia sitting on the balcony watching tv with my auntie and watching xmas shows. it was a very nice and quiet moment. i remembered. it was home alone.
last year i spent my xmas countdown with chuxiang and junhao. now chuxiang doesn't like to come out with us anymore. he's the one who can connect with both of us.
thinking back i never had an ideal xmas. but i cannot put my head to picturing the perfect xmas. maybe, to me, a perfect xmas is going to new york with my loved ones, shop shop shop in town and going back home to the neighbourhood and play snowball fights with the angmohs and sip hot chocolate.
interior design gives the excuse to travel around the world. the excuse is called "exposure" to be precise.
what's your ideal christmas?

couldn't resist. another one from my autoviz collection. in here banya (banyayayaa is our autoviz lecturer) describes this scenario as "the gathering of papa teapot, mama teapot and the child teapot", and maybe we can put a lil white teapot in as the kiddo's friend too. =D
autoviz do drive me and poor elv nuts. our favourite word of the year is "banya".

yinn you got me itching for hokkien songs now! rah. on this rainy day, i wold like to listen to the "lil umbrella'' hokkien song.
speaking of rainy rainy days it has certainly brought a whole new different feeling for me. i feel like going to those exotic snowing european countries and ski with the angmohs. i feel like going out to buy trenchcoats and snow gloves and snow boots and mufflers. i've always like trenchcoats since i was young, but given S'pore humid weather there's simply no way to wear a trenchcoat appropriately.
it was a dark and stormy night. (Snoopy always say this!) yesterday me and junhao ran from suntec to a nearby (though not very near!) bus-stop. although it was very wet and cold, he drapped his jacket over my head, and held my hand and we ran for our dear lives. and my shoe dropped. although it was very cold, i felt a warm tinkling feeling inside and a tinge of happiness surging.
before that we went to bugis and he bought the mos burger teddy bear for me and the minnie mouse polo tee! yay! i'm so happy. and 2 boxes of ferrero rocher.
very cute right? i can't bear to open it. so it's now in my box of toys all new. :D
the minnie mouse polo tee. we bought the coal grey one. it looks a bit old because of the colour but it's brand new!
the kns birkenstock haven't come. haven't even confirm order. i need an opinion. nice party frock with heels to match or birkenstock?

just the other day me and junhao went to marina, and i saw the paul and joe 2007 flower calendar from female. it's very nice, simply girly and perfect. i looked quizzically at junhao, and he got it for me without my knowing! so sweet. especially when i'm truely and utterly broke. we also went to buy tons of nail polishes and nail stickers and stuff. was very happy on the way home thinking about everything =D

so yesterday i went over to liang's place to paint her nails and she on mine. horrors of horrors, we took so long to paint, it was almost evening when we finish. it's back to the pedi shop. for ma at least. painting nails is very difficult! don't laugh. i laughed at nash when she said that and now i agree with her.
i forgot to take photos of liang's nails. and my toes.
after that we went to jp and i saw a minnie mouse and tinkerbell polo tee! oh gosh it's very adorable lorhs. i think i might get it on junhao's birthday cuz 20% off. heeheehee.

i having a big big headache now, i can't think properly, i have the bad stomach cramp, i feel like rolling on the floor, and my model isn't complete, i'm listening to scissor sisters, i love their songs, i just discovered 'take your mama out' is sung by them, i love it too, i also just knew black parade refers to the cancer patients, therefore 'welcome to the black parade' means welcome to being a cancer patient or something.

i'm enjoying a bowl of fish porridge and i'm very very contented.
junhao bought the birkenstock for me. phew. thanks darling! i will now officially say that i have everything i want. except more clothes. except more shoes. except more makeup. muahahaa. no la.
this weekend is better than the last few weekends. there isn't much compared to last week that we have to do, and i've been going out for the past 2 days.
on friday we had the dance n waves concert. edmund, jianping, weiqiang, aaron, robin, ahbao, xiangying, van, albert and his girlfriend minyi and their friends, i think that's all?, went. it's like a series of dancing between hip hop and modern dance. van told us that there would be a few dances that makes you want to fall in love. which was funny before i remembered most of the dances was a laugh because aaron and xiangying sat beside me.
and, there was one particularly modern dance that van mentioned give the love feeling. the start was the ladies/lady sliding across the table and the guy sitting at the edge of the table. and, someone in the front gave out a moan, like she had reached orgasm. i really wanted to laugh out loud but i would probably be called a pervert so i kept quiet.
i like a hip hop dance by the girls the best, it has the songs i like, like lose control. there was a beat-boxer who could beat-box billy jean and sing it.
after that we went to eat at clementi and listened to ed's musings. he reminds me how much i want to become a successful designer.

even though i have a millions things to say about the hell interior designers go through, i shall shut up and dedicate this entry to junhao.
it's been a month since my granny's death. before i begin.
now, this entry is entirely about junhao so there shouldn't be anything else more i might or would say. maybe i'll put it in the next entry.
sorry i digressed.
today marks the first year i have with junhao. about a year ago, i was still very angry and hated him so much. yah junhao? for some reason i can't stand the sight of you. it's a very complicated relationship back then.
then, when we first got together, we tried to keep it low. so it was weird when i turned up for mahjong sessions when everyone knows i dislike mahjong. but i love the gang man.
i didn't liked going out with your best friends because i was shy. i'm still shy. although we are classmates, we don't really talk so often so when it came to going out together it was naturally a weird situation. and i still hope one day you can go out with my classmates and be friends. they are very interesting people (being designers) and generally a good lot to hang out with. although the class seems to be depleting.
we do quarrel over the smallest stupidest things. oh man i hate quarrels. but you'll always make me smile (even though it takes a very very long time to make me smile). it takes a lot of perserverance.
i think you are also the first person i ever need to persuade.
why do people tend to remember the bad things instead of the good ones. even though we have a lot of issues now, but i hope, dear, u can understand that interior design is a very stressful course and that sometimes i can't contact you so often as you would liked. yes. it is not that you are not important. sometimes to me the whole course and everything and you seems to be a matter of life and death to me. till it becomes me neglecting myself.
remember you got so angry that you nearly slapped me near meiliang's house? i remember that fateful day. if you had slapped me, i think i wouldn't be here talking now.
anyways. thank you for taking care of me, holding my hand when we crossed the road, tugging me along to make sure i catch up with your long legs. thanks. let's enjoy the many months to come before you make the mark of the man, which is the army, that is.
