first day, 2008
senior year

this morning i woke up with an uneasy feeling, so i snucked up beside my mom and we chatted before i went to school. it feels good, talking to her took off a bit of uneasiness off my chest. it wasn't the kind of uneasy feeling that i got from eating too much steamboat, it's more of the chest uneasy feeling. har.

so we went for hours of lecture today. very fierce, 6 hours worth of lecture. the school system cock up again! our timetable is in a mess.

i felt kind of uneasy in school too.. even more so when i saw that someone.. sigh. i was all over the place today, spending time with nearly everyone. it's all good.

in tod lecture, manish brought up how superheroes in marvel comics always go to a secret place to transform into their alter ego, then they come out a different person and they save the world. it is this transition space which is so special, nobody sees it, but it happens. it's kind of amazing isn't it? it's kind of like how we bathe, a ritual but essentially special.

while i may not be a total marvel comics fan, i was thinking about snoopy and charles m schulz when manish was talking about philosophy. charles m schulz is more of "life philosophy". and tezuka osamu (astro boy), another deep thinker. he describe places that nobody sees, but feels it in times of urgency. of all the comics i read, astro boy is probably the one with the most hidden meanings.

so what is this transition space that we encounter daily but never felt it? i just thought of one. when i'm walking to the mrt station everyday, i experience a personal transitional space. when i'm sitting in the bus alone, i see everyone but goes unnoticed.

hope to get this very uncomfortable feeling off my chest asap. groans. it's almost like a premonition.
